In the beginning...

On July 6th, 1983, Pastors George and Lillian Samuel obeyed the call of God and founded Christian Faith Power Center Church in Staten Island, NY. With what began as ten people meeting every Wednesday at their home, soon blossomed into a congregation that occupied two store fronts at the Targee Shopping Plaza. God continued to move within the ministry as more souls were added to the kingdom through Christian Faith Power Center programs such as the Early Learning Daycare Center and Faith Christian Academy Day school. It was throughout this time that the church had moved to several locations within the Stapleton/Park Hill area.

The Story Continued... 

In February of 2012, Pastors Albert and Cheryl Cancela took the position of Lead Pastors of what would become Power Center Church. It has been under their leadership that the mission of transforming lives through the power of God was manifested through innovative community outreach, creative teaching and a dedication to upholding Godly values. They have been married since 1994 and together have raised three wonderful children.
